Teddy Swims Mesa Concert reviews
Lauryn's still got it!!!
Why, though, no cameras??? My only complaint. Ms. Hill was first of all, on time, and covered most of her hits, as well as a throwback to the Fugees which the crowd really seemed to enjoy. Coming from such an intelligent woman, it makes perfect sense Teddy Swims chose relatively small venues, except for Coachella, to showcase her rap and songs; in a way going back to the people. Having her perform many songs from the "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill", of course was the best for me since that album pretty much time-stamps the early 2000's for me. What an incredible, raw experience to see an MC doing his thing without the glitz and glitter often expected from many of today's concerts. Perhaps if we keep up the loyalty, she'll get the idea we still want more Ms. Hill. I recommend going to see Lauryn, while she makes these intermittent performances.
